From the Commander:
The one thing that we need around the Post is help from our members. When I say members I mean Legion, AUX, SAL and the Riders. Each of these groups has the same people who do everything and they are getting tired and need help. We are not asking that you spend hours every week but if everybody helped with one event per year what a difference it would make. Every Friday one of the groups cooks dinner and for as long as I can remember it’s been the same folks. I know there are more people who would like to share their favorite meal. It’s time to step up and help out. We must get other people involved or we are going to fade away. It’s the choice of you the members. Do you want the Post to continue on or fade away?
Dec is the Legion turn to cook Friday night dinners and for the last three rounds it’s been the same people. We need somebody new to help out.
Just a reminder to our members over 70. The post will pay your due but only if you ask in writing and have been a member of Post 202 for the five proceeding years.
Yours in Service
Bill Kilde

From The Adjutant:
Our new Constitution and By-Laws will be ready at the next General Membership Meeting upon accepting the revised Article 9 Section. This will be final reading and voting of this article. As we change our standards it is our obligation to adjust the Constitution and By-Laws accordingly.
1. Membership: It is important that we renew as soon as possible so we can continue to support our Community, State and Nation. I know that economical times have set our budgets to restraints. But we will get through these times and must continue to show support through membership.
2. Volunteerism: We need assistance in up keeping our Post. Every hour that you volunteer to the Post SAVES MONEY! We are trying to renovate the Hall upstairs. (Sheetrock, New windows, New ceiling tiles and track and Lighting) By renovating the hall, it becomes more appealing for Legion Functions, Events including renting. We need to do this. So by volunteering, you arr helping the piggy bank grow to do these necessary projects.
3. Officers: We need officers. We have an open Historian and Americanism Officer. Some of the current officers have doubled up obligations (two positions). That makes for a tremendous load for them to carry. I appeal to our membership, anyone that would like to participate and become an officer contact Commander Bill Kilde.
4. Meetings: Meetings are Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM. I urge you to attend these meetings and voice your concerns so the Executive Committee and General Membership as a whole can act upon these issues. Your voices are important to us. Every member has a voice and opinion and is a contributing factor in the operation of the Post. It’s our future!
